Day 19: Self-harm Free Challenge

Recently, I am trying to slow down the ticking of my mental clock. I mean I am trying to enjoy every transient passing moment by always being in the present. It takes skills to be well versed in term of how to immerse oneself completely into every single pace of time for someone like me who is always on the rush in doing things, including simple daily tasks , not to mention taking meals or showers.

Currently, I am reading about Sylvia Plath, William Styron, Brett Smith and Andrew Solomon. They are mainly individuals who have written about their first hand experiences with depression. This is an eye opener for me. It’s comforting at the same time. Publications about their works need to be digested and appreciated bits by bits by spending time understanding and contemplating.
